After years working in the motor trade, I kept seeing the same problem again and again.
People weren’t getting what they deserved for their cars.
Customers trade ins were often undervalued
Buying platforms hook you in and then let you down.
Private selling is often a hassle and disappointment
There was a clear gap between what cars were actually worth… and what people were being offered.
I knew there was a better way to do it.
So I built Karmodo around one idea:
Give people real prices, based on real demand, and make the process simple.

MY EXPERIENCE
While completing my bachelors degree in Law at the University of Ulster Belfast, I started my career in the motor trade as auctioneer. I absolutely loved the pace of it, and then moved to a buyer role within a Vehicle Supermarket. Whilst being employed, I gained a Diploma in Supply Chain Management to help me understand the complex nature of supply in multiple sectors.
This is where I developed a deep understanding of how cars are valued — not just based on condition, but based on what they’ll actually sell for.
Over time, I built strong relationships with dealers and figures in the motor trade across Northern Ireland. That network is what allows me to do what I do today.
Case Studies
Public seller - finance situation
A customer thought they couldn’t trade in due to negative equity on their car based on the valuation the dealership provided. They contacted me directly for a valuation, I offered more than the dealer, I cleared their finance and that meant they could get their new vehicle.
Public seller - better price
An elderly customer was offered a poor price from their local, long time dealer as they could no longer drive. I offered £1500 more as the car was worth it. The customer couldn’t believe the price difference
Local business - company vehicles
A local business was changing their fleet of owned vehicles for new EVs. They needed to understand what their cars were worth upon delivery of the new cars in 3 months time. Price provided for all cars was accurate at time of hand over. The benefit to the company
was accurate forecasting / budgeting
Sales Rep - A deal saved
A salesperson was struggling to close deals as he wasn’t able to offer enough on his customers trade in due to company policy. He referred the customer to me with their permission. I offered more to help close the gap which got his deal over the line for the customer. I now regularly manage his customers trade ins – everyone gets a better deal and is better off
HOW I OPERATE
Everything I do is based on trust and consistency.
I am transparent with pricing and everything is broken down and clearly explained
That keeps things fair for the seller, and predictable for the dealerships I work with.
Because once trust is gone in this industry, it’s very hard to get back.
I’d rather lose a purchase than lose someone’s trust.
